Surely the weather will brighten up soon and we will have a few sunny days. I’m trying so hard to make it summer in the garden. Here is one of my, so far still very green, flower baskets. And, yes, they are lined with recycled wool – what else?!

There’ll be no meeting of The Aylesford Knitting Group this evening as we are currently enjoying Half Term. But don’t forget to come and join us if you can for The Big Lunch this Sunday, 2 June.
From 12.00 noon onwards we will be having a picnic lunch (and, possibly, a glass of wine) on the river bank down by the village car park. Bring a blanket and a picnic, but most of all, bring your knitting!
We’ve got German football fever in our house in honour of the Champions League Final. We had Frankfurter sausages and Sauerkraut for tea and now we’re washing it all down with a yummy Bitburger Bier!
Come on Dortmund! For proving the Germans do have a sense of humour with their amazing deckchair installations all over London they so deserve to win!
Normal knitting service will resume straight after the match!
