Needle & Thread with Doddington Hall & Gardens
Amateur & experienced sewers please come along to our two Sewing Bee sessions to help create a unique quilt, The People’s Quilt!
During Doddington’s current quilting exhibition Voices From the Inside, visitors have been invited to sign their name on fabric squares to be stitched together to form a quilt. In keeping with the collaborative tradition of quilts being a keepsake of memories and people’s individual handiwork, we would like the finished item to be stitched by you!

The stitching will be done over two days, and Needle & Thread will be there for guidance and help! On Sunday 23 August, the squares will be pieced together by hand and on Tuesday 1 September, the item will be quilted and bound to create the finished item.
This finished quilt will become a part of Doddington Hall history and remain in their archives.
Sunday 23rd August 9.30am to 4.30pm
Tuesday 1st September 9.30am to 4.30pm

Sewers are invited to attend either or both of the sessions for all or part – as you wish!

To book a place (participation is free but refreshments INCLUDING CAKE(!) will be included) please contact Susanna Plummer on 01522 812 517 or email susanna@doddingtonhall.com.
The Sewing Bees will take place in the Coach House. For full details visit the Doddington Hall website.

We do hope you can take part!
