Woolly warmth for Christmas

My final Christmassy project was some cheery woollen scarves, which I hope will be keeping some very special people warm and cosy this winter. They have been handed out to homeless people in the Lincoln area.scarves

Knitivity

Following the Jean Greenhowe knitted nativity patterns, I created a handmadebysoo version of the ‘knitivity’ scene, which Anne has gifted to her great nieces for Christmas. Anne was kind enough to make a donation for the set to my favourite charity, the Nystagmus Network.

A crochet blanket for Gatsby

As a Christmas surprise for my daughter, I made her a crochet throw and cushion to cosy up her leather sofas for the winter weather. The stash was raided for greys and taupes to match her colour scheme, with a few pinks and mauves to petty it up a little. The cushion cover is just two giant granny squares crocheted together over a washable feather pad and the throw is 12 giant granny squares, each of 9 rows of colour. Every single square is different, thanks to the stash!

My little cat, Milly, was a huge help during the creative process and my daughter’s cat, Gatsby, clearly appreciates the result!
